Introducing the Future Bladesmiths

Debbie Walker

Debbie is the heart and soul of our business. She takes on every challenge that comes her way whilst also being a full time nurse. She’s a full-time learner, always exploring new skills like leatherwork, handle scale design, knife making, tailoring, and quilt making. She loves spending time outdoors and helping others discover their own strength and potential. What truly sets Debbie apart is her unwavering faith in her friends, family and in Christ.

Josh Nold

Joshua Nold is a 2025 Highschool graduate from Dora, MO, and has been an apprentice with Devil's Backbone Knives for over a year. Getting his start through the Falcon Flex Program to learn knife making with the final project being a sword; he caught on quickly and stuck with it, creating knives of his own in no time. He will be starting College in the fall, but we hope to have him back in the forge next summer.

"Working alongside Bobby and Debbie has been an invaluable experience, and I know that the knives we make will be cherished for generations." - J. Nold

Connor Lovan

Connor Lovan is a high school student from our local high school here in Dora, Missouri.  Connor started his Apprenticeship/Mentorship in September 2025 through the Dora Falcon Flex Program.  This young man is very smart and talented, always ready for the next step.  We are hoping to keep Connor through the end of his senior year and so excited to watch him grow as a blade smith.
